STREET COLORS
Street Colors is an ACTION pilot whose aims is to involve kids at schools in an engaging science and technology project with the help of their teachers. Using a low cost 6-band spectral sensor (AS7262) and an Arduino MCU, the students will build their own measuring device (6 channel photometer) and will measure street lamppost lighting to determine the light intensity in each channel. Their smartphones will connect to the photometer via Bluetooth using a custom mobile app. The data and results from the photometers will be collected and uploaded to the ACTION servers using the app.
Contact: Jaime Zamorano, Dept. Fisica de la Tierra y Astrofisica, Universidad Complutense, Madrid
