The ACTION project launched its second open call supporting citizen science projects.

We are looking for ongoing citizen science projects related to any form of pollution in Europe and worldwide. The call focuses on projects that are primarily carried out online in order to better cope with the covid-related situation.

Successful applicants will receive €20,000 and professional support by the ACTION team for delivering a six-month pilot.

This call is for:

  • ongoing citizen science projects looking for support, financial and otherwise, to grow and become sustainable;
  • communities interested in co-designing research into pollution in any relevant discipline, from biodiversity and environmental sciences to astronomy and the humanities;
  • organisations in the public, private and third sectors exploring the use of citizen science in their work.

ACTION will provide funding for a six-month pilot, alongside dedicated acceleration activities, resources and tools to set up and run the pilots. In a series of workshops awarded teams will have the chance to co-design and try out the tools and work together with the ACTION team to tailor the support they need to achieve their goals. Awarded teams will have access to a community of like-minded initiatives, tackling similar challenges and contributing to common aims.

Call Duration: 01 September 2020 until 01 November 2020, 12:00 PM Brussels time.
