In Tatort Streetlight’s multi-year research project, the team are investigating the connections between nocturnal darkness or brightness and the behaviour of humans and nature. The model regions are northern and western Brandenburg, southern Mecklenburg and Fulda in Hesse.

Tatort Streetlight have now launched an online survey asking inhabitants of these regions to participate in an online survey. Alongside research looking at how lighting design affects insect biodiversity, Tatort Streetlight is hoping to learn more about how artificial light at night is experienced by people, too. The survey is anonymous and is open until April 12, 2021. Participation takes about 10 minutes in total. (Please note the survey is in German).
