ACTION Accelerator project Open Soil Atlas is working with Berlin communities to map soil quality using DIY soil testing methods.
Since starting in the ACTION Accelerator, they have been working with Berlin allotment organisations, garden cooperatives and more, running online and on-site workshops where they share their methods for participatory monitoring of the city’s soil quality, from recording the abundance of litter to uploading images of the soil profile.
The next Open Soil Atlas workshop will take place at Prinzessinnengarten [https://prinzessinnengarten-kreuzberg.net/], a collectively run community garden in the heart of the city, on 20th June 2021.
