ACTIONs primary investigator, Professor Elena Simperl, co-chaired this year’s AAAI Conference on Human Computation and Crowdsourcing (HCOMP2020). For five days at the end of October, researchers and practitioners from all over the world and a variety of fields came together online to exchange new insights and best practice. The focus of this year’s conference was the quality (or qualities) of human-annotated datasets – an issue relevant to many citizen science projects in which participants contribute or annotate data. The conference talks are available on the Underline platform, and full research papers can be accessed in the AAAI digital library.
