About 100 students from eight high schools in the greater Oslo area are currently working on air quality projects in the framework of ACTION. NILU-Norwegian Institute for Air Research has facilitated the project and provides assistance for all activities – for both, teachers and students.

After learning about air quality issues in Norway, the students have to design a scientific air quality project which they will work on intensively during the upcoming weeks. The aim of the project activities is to combine scientific thinking with a topic of societal relevance and raise awareness about air pollution in the students. The students have to build their air quality sensor, code it and design a measuring campaign. The results will be presented at a joint student conference in Oslo on April 1st. All participating schools have started now, and we are excited to see the results in a few weeks’ time.
